Celebrate peak monarch migration and learn all about monarchs and their conservation with our children’s activities and Monarch Conservation Station hosted by monarch biologist John Drummond!

Children’s activities will be located in the Visitor Center and will include a butterfly kite, pipe cleaner caterpillars, floor puzzles, learning displays, live caterpillars, and more. They will be availabe from 11 am – 2 pm.

Visit John Drummond, monarch biologist from Lafayette College, in the covered pavilion from 10 am – 4 pm to see monarch tagging demos as well as his collection of live monarch eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises, and adult butterflies. Some you will even be able to see using a microscope!

John will share information and explain the reasons for the recent decline in the monarch populations and what you can do to help, including planting milkweed.

Be sure to stop by to meet John, see the display and leave with FREE milkweed seeds – 3 varieties while supplies last! He will also have information about gardening for monarchs and other native pollinators.
