May 19, 2018 @ 10:00 am

Join us for a living history festival for the entire family featuring a variety of historic demonstrations by costumed interpreters, activities for children, craft vendors, and wine tastings. Buildings in the village will be open for tours and food will be available for purchase.

Morlatton Village will come alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of the eighteenth and early nineteenth century. Volunteers will demonstrate a variety of crafts and trades including textile processing, hearth cooking, and leatherworking. Visitors can learn about gun building and the colonial militia and children will even have the chance to join in the muster. Several of the buildings in the Village will be open for tours, including the White Horse Inn, parts of the George Douglass House, and the Michael Fulp House. Children can have their face painted and enjoy fun, spring-themed activities. Archaeologists will be hard at work at the Mouns Jones House dig site where visitors can learn about the exciting items they have uncovered and their importance to the oldest house in Berks County.
