Please check the event website before attending, to verify the details and make sure there's no change.

August 17, 2018 @ 3:00 pm

Mindfulness is a simple technique that emphasizes paying attention to the present moment in an accepting, nonjudgmental manner and can be a useful tool for decreasing anxiety and promoting happiness. As they experience the benefits of breathing in the therapeutic salty air, this workshop is intended to introduce tweens and teens to the experience of mindfulness and to learn mindfulness techniques that they can use as a lifelong tool to help manage emotions and create daily moments of peace for them as a way to navigate through stressful experiences.

Tania Hollos has a Master’s Degree in Education, a MA Teaching License, PA Teach Certification, and has been an educator for over 20 years. Tania focuses on social and emotional learning as part of increasing students’ academic successes. She has been teaching mindfulness techniques to children and teens for two years and believes students can become more engaged in experiencing and managing their emotions through mindfulness.

Class takes place in the salt room. Parent is welcome to wait in our quiet lounge or drop off.
Investment $25 per child. Only 8 participants. 45 minutes of salt therapy and instruction.
Contact the Salt Lounge for savings on multiple children or groups.
